Retail Merchandiser Corby & Kettering Purpose The Retail Merchandiser will provide merchandising support to all new store openings as well as the existing estate of stores. Extensive travel between stores across the UK is required. This role will suit someone who has a keen awareness of what constitutes an eye catching display, whilst being aware of the commercial need to capture every sales opportunity. We will be looking for individuals who can work as part of a team, be fully compliant to merchandising guidelines set out by the company, but have the self-motivation to work unsupervised within time constraints. You will be passionate about our products and thrive in a discount led environment with a strong understanding of the visual aspect. Role and Responsibilities * Reporting directly to the Retail Merchandising Manager you will provide visual support for all stores, ensuring all areas are commercially correct and fully compliant. * Support at refits, new store openings and in any areas when required. * Ensure the best execution of company initiatives across all areas of the store and work alongside the current team to the highest visual standard * Ensure all P.O.S, Pricing, Ticketing, Range Checks and Stock Counts are fully compliant. * Responsible for ensuring all visual communication from head office is implemented. * Maximise selling potential by securing the right space management in store according to the current stock situation and sales drivers * Work alongside the retail store team to support with daily operational tasks where necessary * Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines showing due diligence to protect the interests of the customer, all visitors, store team and wider business network * Be flexible to work additional hours as and when required to the needs of the business. Profile * Previous Merchandising Experience in a similar role. * Great organisational skills, be able to prioritise duties and manage time effectively. * A genuine interest in our products and flair for merchandising. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead the team by example and be clear and coherent about what needs to be done. Be able to build strong networks with the wider store team and head office personnel. * Be engaging and work well with a wide range of teams. * Ability to work as part of a team and alone as required. * Practical skills: planning and ability to prioritise and organise self. * Thrive in an environment of a fast paced retailer, with similar experience and a natural creative flair. * Visual awareness and manual dexterity. * Able to work to constructive criticism to improve store standards. * Have drive and passion and a genuine love for what you do on a daily basis. * Be able to work in a labour-intensive environment as some heavy lifting may be required. * Be both flexible and committed to the fulfilment of all company objectives. * Communicates new ideas and shares best practice. * Ability to travel regularly around the UK - access to own transport would be advantageous.
