Role Type Central Support Country England Address / location of vacancy Merchants Warehouse Castlefield Manchester Full / Part Time Full Time Contract type Permanent Hours 37.5 Job description Job Title: Talent Programmes Specialist Salary: Up to 38K dependent upon experience Contract: Permanent Work Pattern: 37.5 Hours Per Week Location: Merchants Warehouse, Manchester Reporting into the People Development Manager, you'll be responsible for the leadership, management and talent development across the business utilising the apprenticeship levy wherever possible. Working with the Senior People Partners to deliver Performance Management tools required to achieve Well's performance management strategy, you'll be accountable for the utilisation of Apprenticeship Levy funding and strategic approach. What you'll do: * Develop the Well Career Development framework and strategy employing learning and development approaches that align to current and future business needs & utilises apprenticeship levy funding; professional/clinical programmes and career pathways will be owned by People Development Manager and will align to this framework and strategy. * Responsible for development governance and policy processes, such as forums for approval of development spend/investment, implementation of training agreements ensuring consistent practices that comply with external requirements across the business * Lead on engaging colleagues with the Well Career Development programme (Apprenticeship Funded programmes), engaging directly with Senior Leaders and working collaboratively with our People Partners to gain buy in and support to ensure full utilisation of the Career Development framework. * Determine individual and collective leadership and talent development strategies sourcing funding through the Apprenticeship Levy or alternative budgets, designing and delivering modules of internal leadership development where applicable. * Manage spend against the Apprenticeship Levy and manage costs against relevant People Development budget. * Work collaboratively with the People Partners to design and develop performance management tools which meet the needs of the business * Manage relevant supplier/provider relationships, ensuring high learning standards and positive candidate feedback. * Designing and delivering management development solutions * Ensure growing positive perception of career development opportunities/job related training as measured by the Big Colleagues Survey * Monitor return on investment of career development and progression strategies in terms of internal career development/progression success; impact of development programmes on business results. * Contribute to the People Development broader plan, inputting into the Communication Strategy, support design of development content where applicable Key knowledge and skills required for the role: * Deep knowledge of training and development models and techniques. * Leadership and management experience. * Experience of utilising the apprenticeship levy * Excellent presentation, training delivery, planning and organisational skills. * Experience of working in a collaborative and consultative capacity essential. * Budget management experience and skills.
