YOUR ROLE This is an excellent opportunity for a reporting/visualisation professional looking to make an impact working within a best in class Data Sciences team at CODE shaping the direction of the BI arm of the department. Passion and curiosity will be key to success in this role. You will be responsible for supporting in the delivery of the client's reporting and analytical needs, which will involve liaising with the Data Scientists / the Client / the Data Strategists to understand, shape, and design the deliverable, helping to understand the client, their challenges, and their opportunities. You'll need to stay abreast of latest visualisation techniques and technology to ensure we aligned with the best in class approaches to solutions. You'll need to pull out actionable insights from data, be at home being 'hands on' in the delivery of client work. Reporting to the Head of Data Science, the successful candidate will help deliver reporting and dashboard projects which will help drive insight and strategy for clients. An understanding of data structures for reporting, visualisation, and dashboard design are required. Experience with SQL is needed, and Tableau, Power BI or JavaScript are desired. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES * Understanding clients' objectives and KPIs. * Liaising with internal teams, gathering and delivering reporting requirements and confirming the brief. * Dashboard wireframe design and support in presentations to get client sign-off * Hands-on using SQL to query data and produce reports. * Presenting data in tabular, chart and graph form using reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Pentaho, and of course Excel. * Interpreting data and explaining the reports to a non-technical audience. * Writing documents explaining the processes undertaken to internal stakeholders. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Essential: * 2+ years' experience in a marketing analytics and CRM environment * A programmer in SQL * Experience building and designing reports and dashboards * Previous experience of working with large databases and the ability to understand database design. * Involvement in generating reporting or analytical requirements. Desirable: * Experience of dashboard software e.g. Tableau/Power BI * Experience of programming JavaScript * Knowledge of web analytics online tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS * We want you to be a self-starter, able to work on own initiative, yet contribute and work within a team. * You should be able to deliver projects to tight deadlines. * You should be able to communicate clearly and support in the preparation of comprehensive reports. * We want someone who's confident, a personable character and capable of building good relationships. * You should be imaginative and have a practical approach to problem-solving. * You need to be conscientious and reliable with a strong work ethic and have strong personal integrity. * You should be curious about all things marketing related, especially data!
