Job Description

We are seeking registered nurses and/or nursing associates to join our team on the Surgical Assessment Unit at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. We have both full and part time positions available to provide maternity leave cover. This will be for a minimum of twelve months. Surgical Assessment Unit is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you will be expected to participate in a variety of shift patterns. As well as having 20 inpatient beds, we also run surgical ambulatory care within the unit, which can accommodate a further 15 ambulant patients receiving assessment and surgical care. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic nurses to join our friendly and pro-active nursing team, caring for a variety of surgical specialties. We are a hardworking department with a strong sense of teamwork. You must be able to work as part of a team and you will also need to possess excellent communication skills. You will be given the chance to develop and enhance your surgical skills, through our multiple development opportunities. Applications from Third year nursing students would be welcome.
