Job Description
Maven is a proprietary trading and market making organisation formed in 2011. We employ the most talented traders, developers and engineers in the market, executing a diverse range of strategies across global equities and derivatives. We are the most active participant in many of the products we trade, contributing significant liquidity to markets around the world. We have offices in London, Hong Kong and New York and will be opening a new Chicago office as part of our plans to expand our coverage of derivatives markets. THE ROLE: Our Automated Options Market Making team, utilize ultra-low latency and high performant trading platforms to provide best in class pricing and liquidity to markets. Our traders are passionate about creating innovative solutions and push the boundaries of quantitative trading. We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Market Maker to further build the platform. CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS: * Prior experience of automated options market making * Successful track record of proven P&L and market share * Good understanding of trading systems * Outstanding numerical and analytical skills * Proactive interest in improving existing trading strategies and identifying new opportunities; relevant experience in one or more of the following subjects: * Volatility modelling and fitting * Price formation and (multi-layer) quoting algorithms * Inventory management * Short and long term trading signals * Volatility relative value trading * VStoxx and VIX futures and options trading * Hedging strategies * Ability to take a high level of responsibility in an expanding, highly successful firm * Excellent attention to detail * Fast problem-solving skills * An embodiment of Maven's core values: Integrity and fairness, market-leading, creativity, individual and collective success, discipline and accountability * Programming skills
