Overview
Automated Trade Support / Trading Desk Monitor / Trade Monitor / Quantitative Trade Support / Algorithmic Trade operations support opportunity for 4 days a week to provide support for trading and risk systems in - London. The Trade Monitor will monitor Algorithmic Trades / High Frequency Trades and will enjoy working in a fast paced environment and monitoring trades. The Algorithmic Trades are automated and as such the Trade Support Monitor will have experience of supporting Automated Algorithmic Trades. Ideally the Trade Support Monitor will have recent experience monitoring trades and a capacity to pick up new skills quickly. The Trade SUpport Monitor may have come from a Trading background and decided their experience was more suited to Trade Support. The responsibilities of the Trade Support Monitor are as follows; • Start and supervise the automated trading systems • Monitor live trading for risk and compliance issues and quickly respond to unusual behaviors or market conditions • Work closely with portfolio managers and quantitative developers to deploy models, observe behaviors of production strategies, and implement prescribed changes during the trading day • Communicate with support staff, brokers and exchanges to resolve intraday trading issues • Carefully document procedures and log production issues as they occur Qualifications: • At least two years of experience in trading to trade support role / trade monitoring role • A bachelor’s degree from a college or university • Working knowledge of risk control of equities, futures, options, and FX markets • Solid experience with automated trading strategies • An understanding of exchange-specific rules and procedures (Exchange qualifications a bonus) • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills and fluency in English Benefits The office is located in the City of London and the environment is laid back but professional.
