Salary: 43,869 - 53,964 per annum (Pro Rata) 6 Months Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity Part-Time, 18.5 Hours per Week The Thurrock Safeguarding Adult Board (TSAB) is a statutory board led by three core partners, Essex Police, Thurrock Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Thurrock Council, Adult Social Care. TSAB aims to ensure the effective co-ordination and delivery of services to safeguard and promote the welfare of at risk adults in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and the accompanying Statutory Guidance To achieve this aim TSAB works with partners and local communities to ensure that safeguarding services work well, are constantly improving and meet the needs of local people by: * Preventing abuse and neglect from happening * Responding quickly when abuse or neglect does happen, and * Always putting the adult's wishes at the centre of the process * Raising awareness of safeguarding adults, and the role everyone can play in responding to, and preventing, abuse and neglect The TSAB has three statutory duties including the production of an Annual Report, Strategic Plan and to conduct Safeguarding Adult Reviews. The TSAB is looking for an enthusiastic, focussed and well organised individual to take on the role of Business Manager who can work with colleagues from a variety of agencies to develop practice in this field and offer constructive challenge. It is a great time to join the small but effective team; the start of a new financial year with a brand new Strategic Plan means there is scope for you to shape how the TSAB will deliver its Strategic Objectives by working with a variety of partner agencies to develop its delivery plan.
