Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

" At Steadman's, we are currently looking for experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in our manufacturing site in Warnell, Cumbria. The Steadman's site has a small maintenance team that is intrinsic in keeping the plant operational and the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer is a key role within the team, due to the amount of mechanical systems within the factory. The role will work on 2-week shift rota of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm. What does the role involve? As a Maintenance Engineer, you will promote a positive QHSE Culture throughout the business and all times, you be expected to adhere to our Zero Harm health and safety policy and undertake all your duties to the highest and safest standards. You will work to a schedule of both planned maintenance and dealing with reactive maintenance, using typical mechanical tools such as lathes, surface grinders etc as well as welding and fabrication. In addition, you will be expected to attend breakdowns within the site, as required, and be pro-active during machinery installation and dismantling and provide direction to the operational team. You will troubleshoot to improve performance across site, ensuring the maintenance team resolve issues proactively and ensure correct levels of critical spares are maintained. You will also liaise with contractors to ensure correct risk assessments are in place prior to work commencement. To be successful you will likely be: \t * A timeserved mechanical maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment or similar \t * Experienced in both planned works and troubles shooting and experience of reading technical drawings \t * Ideally some experience of Hydrolytics, pneumatics and welding & fabrication \t * Any experience of electrical maintenance and PLCs would be advantageous but not essential \t * Good communications skills, a team player and able to work under pressure About us...
