An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Robotic Process Automation Controller / AWS SysAdmin to work on an RPA programme within Pearson. Reporting to the Robotics Lead, you will be responsible for controlling the "digital workforce"; ensuring resources are most effectively deployed to deliver a high-quality efficient operation. You will support and administer the day to day running of Blue Prism processes in the live environment. The Controller will schedule and run Blue Prism processes, ensure the stability of the Blue Prism IT environment, investigate any issues in the live processes, and raise change requests or support calls where required. Our Robotics Centre of Excellence is an established unit providing Robotics as a service for Pearson. We are in a build-up phase where Pearson's ambition within Robotics is high and our ramp-up plans very ambitious. You'll contribute to the delivery of new and exciting capabilities, technologies and services that are transforming the way Pearson works - all in an area which is seeing huge investment! Key responsibilities include: Daily administration of the Blue Prism live environment (scheduling the digital workforce, monitoring automations in production, viewing logs, release management, problem-solving performance or execution issues etc.) Oversee the quality delivery of RPA solutions to achieve a consistent high standard of configuration Manage automated processes on a daily basis to ensure they are scheduled in line with services level agreements (SLAs) outlined in the design and that exceptions (business and system) referrals and system outages are handled appropriately Lead the investigation and detailed analysis of RPA incidents and process exceptions including a strategic approach to root cause analysis Review of AWS hosting environment (support maintaining resources, viewing logs, creating scripts to spin up and down instances required for application on demand, create and monitor alerts etc.) Understand system and business change cycles and liaise with IT leaders and change managers across the business to ensure automated processes are proactively amended to reflect changes Distribute appropriate statistics and metrics about bot performance so that the business benefit and usage can be proactively measures, monitored and improved. Keep proper track of the demand and help IT infrastructure team to ensure that the environment scales in line with business demand. Communicating with Blue Prism on product related issues, suggesting improvements and participating with other users in the Blue Prism community Providing technical assistance and training to others.
