Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5)

The Children and Young People's Therapy Service (CYPTS) are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children/young people with Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties. We have a vacancy for a permanent, full time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist. The post is based in our Mendip Team. The role will entail working across the Mendip area with offices based in Wells and Frome , you will be required to travel to meet the needs of these caseloads. We would welcome applications from both Newly Qualified and Experienced Therapists. The position offers a varied caseload and you will undertake both initial assessments in clinic as well as ongoing caseload work in a variety of settings such as schools, clinic and family homes. This post will provide you with the opportunity to develop integrated working with colleagues from Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. You will also be working in close partnership with education and health colleagues in other services. We have an excellent supervision and support structure in place, as well as a peer group forum to assist you. We have a robust induction programme and there will be opportunities for you to be involved in wider service development projects. Our service was rated 'Good' in all areas at the last CQC inspection and the quality of the service provided by the ITS has been recognized at both national and local levels.
