Violence Against Women and Girls Project Officer PO1: Starting salary 34,128 per annum 1 year fixed term contract or Secondment Opportunity Lambeth Council is recognised as a leading local authority in relation to our commitment to, and experience of, addressing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). This includes a strong partnership response and an innovative approach to service provision for victims/survivors of gender-based violence. To ensure that Lambeth continues to maintain a strong partnership approach and continues to support all agencies in working to end VAWG, we are recruiting a Violence Against Women and Girls Project Officer. The post holder's main areas of focus will be: * Coordinate and administrate the Lambeth Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and Lambeth Prostitution Group (LPG) in order to ensure the effective operation and delivery of these processes, in partnership with key Lambeth stakeholders. * Lead on developing the LPG and MARAC processes using innovative solutions to manage caseloads and ensure survivors and partner agencies receive an effective service. * Lead on refreshing the administration forms, policies and procedures where required. * Coordinate and administrate the Lambeth MARAC steering group. * Work in close partnership with staff from the voluntary, statutory and community sector to ensure they are familiar with the MARAC and LPG processes, and their role and responsibilities within them. * Develop and deliver training and briefing sessions to a range of Lambeth practitioners on the MARAC and the LPG processes and how to effectively respond to high risk victims/survivors of domestic abuse and prostitution, including appropriate risk assessment and emergency response. * Collect and analyse MARAC and LPG referral and demographic data in order to identify any emerging issues, in particular to ensure that victims/survivors from under-represented groups are being supported. Liaise with referral agencies to offer support, guidance and problem solving where needed. * Prepare performance reports on the MARAC and the LPG, including statistical reports, for SafeLives, the MARAC Steering Group, the VAWG Delivery Group, the Lambeth Safeguarding Children's Partnership and the Lambeth Safeguarding Adults' Partnership Board as required. * To contribute to fundraising bids for services and projects that support victims/survivors of VAWG in Lambeth. * To contribute to Lambeth's VAWG communication strategy to highlight the borough's zero tolerance to VAWG. It is essential therefore that you have demonstrable experience of working within the VAWG sector, and significant experience of working in a multi-agency setting. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of the needs and experience of victims/survivors of VAWG, and of related service delivery.
