Overview
My charity client provides support services to the vulnerable in our society and they now require a Senior IDSVA. You will be responsible for the proactive running and day to day supervision of the service ensuring that women, children and men receive the relevant support and that all health and safety matters are fully managed. Part of the role is to attend and work in partnership with MARACs, MASH, Police, Newham VAWG Group & attend Domestic Abuse Network Meetings. Also, to manage high profile/intensive case work. The Senior IDVA will screen and allocate all non-crime referrals to the BAMER worker and Safety Planner. The ideal candidate will have suitable knowledge of the support needs and support planning of women and children experiencing domestic violence. Safelives IDVA qualified or willingness to complete, knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and the ability to manage staff as well as provide case working support to clients. All candidates who have relevant and suitable transferable skills, knowledge and experience will be considered. However, w e are only able to consider Female applicants for this role.
