Department Overview Motorola Solutions is looking for a dynamic individual to work within our International Finance team and Services team. This is a business critical role that will directly support our operational leadership team for Middle East and Africa. Job Description Key responsibilities of the SI Business Controller: * Act as trusted business partner and financial advisor to the operational leadership and together drive profitability in Middle East and Africa. * Work with Pre-Sales to gain valuable lessons learned on existing contracts and improve contractual terms. * Provide thought leadership, financial tools, analysis & structures to support the business. * Governance on the largest deals in the region, including SOX adherence and create efficient review forums. * Improve revenue, cash and margin forecasting by challenging and supporting the business, aligning with pre- sales and creating the necessary processes to capture key financial information to enable transparency. * Drive financial and commercial rigor to enhance contract profitability and cost discipline during delivery. * Agree the revenue recognition outcome with pre-sales finance as well as the risk and margin position of each Major Project in the region. Then help support how this is monitored and reviewed post sales. * Business planning and financial forecasting for Middle East and Africa (annual and quarterly forecasts, budgets, long range planning). Ensure robust planning & analysis and execution against forecast (sales, margins, cash flow, collections etc.). * Indirectly lead a team of finance professionals in Krakow and the region focused on the various sub-regions sitting within Middle East and Africa. Support regional tax, treasury, accounting and other support finance teams on compliance and various corporate finance matters. Basic Requirements Key qualifications of the SI Business Controller: * ACA/CIMA/ACCA/MBA/ qualifications will be required for the role. * 8-10 years' experience performing various finance roles including controllership delivering large infrastructure projects and ensuring the efficient use of FTE's. * Experienced in supporting or negotiating complex commercial contracts on large scale technology infrastructure roll-outs and project risk management. * Advanced modelling skills to build standardised templates which can be used across the region. * Presentational and storytelling skills which ensure key business performance objectives are explained and understood by the business. * Strong understanding of local accounting and US GAAP standards . Deep knowledge of corporate and operating finance fundamentals. * Quick learner and analytical thinker, with the ability to manage and resolve complex problems. * Strong communicator at leadership level and effective in working across functions and in matrix environments with the ability to simplify financial complexities for non-financial teams.
