We are looking for a talented senior product designer to help us with this mission. Join us and work alongside product owners, researchers, data scientists and engineers, who, every day, strive to help millions of our customers travel easier, smarter, greener and cheaper. As a product designer at Trainline, you will be working in a small cross-functional team to understand customer-needs then design, validate and ship solutions that they love. With a strong understanding of both interaction and visual design, you will own the design and experience through the full product lifecycle, shipping everything from big disruptive ideas to beautiful micro-interactions and everything in between. What you'll be working on.. * Lead and participate product design discoveries * Work closely with all areas of the business including data scientists and product managers to design industry world-firsts * Work closely with researchers to ensure we are continually delivering value to our customers * Deeply understand customer needs and ensure we always put the customer first * Build prototypes and conduct user research and testing * Support implementation of your designs by providing production-ready specifications and collaborating closely with engineers * Ship high-quality solutions without sacrificing speed * Assist in the creation and evolution of our design system What you'll bring.. * You have experience simplifying the complex and understand that simple solutions are not easy * You work comfortably with multiple disciplines, such as user research, data science, engineering and product management * You are an outcome-focused problem solver * You have the ability to work autonomously * Analytics and quantitative metrics * You can design for multiple platforms and devices, ranging from web to native apps * You have an excellent eye for aesthetics and understand the value of beautiful design * You build prototypes(Marvel, Framer, HTML etc.) and test them with customers * You can communicate design to your team and are comfortable receiving and giving constructive feedback * Comfortable with modern user interface design and prototyping tools(e.g.Sketch, Figma, Framer, Marvel, Zeplin, etc..) * You have a portfolio that can demonstrate your skills and achievements * Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a big plus, but not essential.
