Posting Title: Actuarial Pricing Analyst Department: Actuarial Pricing Job Description: Everest Global Markets is a relatively young and growing business unit for Everest Group; Lloyd's Syndicate 2786 was established in 2016, and recent licence approvals for Everest Insurance Ireland gives us further flexibility to operate across the EU. Ongoing growth in the business has created a need for further expansion of the actuarial team. The team has a flat structure and roles are not rigidly defined. However, this particular job will have a focus on providing actuarial support to our delegated underwriting authority business, which forms around 65% of the Syndicate's current business. The role will engage directly with the underwriting and claims functions (both internally and at the coverholder) and the DUA operations team. In addition there will be interaction with finance and with ASTA, Syndicate 2786's Managing Agency, on Solvency 2 and other governance issues. Candidates should have the flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit to thrive in a growth environment, coupled with a willingness to contribute across all aspects of the business, and will be expected to take the lead on specific projects and initiatives. Responsibilities: Profitability and pricing assessments of new and renewal DUA accounts. Portfolio analysis and segmentation on individual DUA accounts and across the portfolio to identify beneficial underwriting and rating actions. Ongoing monitoring of premiums, commissions, exposure, and claims activity and emerging trends. Assisting Coverholders with implementation of actuarial best practices and data quality enhancement, including development and usage of rating models, data capture, underwriting systems, etc. Working with claims both internally and at Coverholders to understand potential impacts of claims management practices on reserving analysis. Providing general support to the actuarial team. Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Related area. Experience in non-life insurance, preferably in a London Market / commercial lines insurance company, MGA, or consultancy Qualified actuary or evidence of good progress towards an actuarial qualification. Both Lloyd's and international Company Market experience useful; European language skills welcomed. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with other IT skills (such as VBA, SQL, R, Python, PowerBI) an advantage.
