Job Description
What we are looking for Direct Line Group is going through various change programmes, and we are growing our teams to ensure we can deliver now and in the future. We are looking for several Principal Actuarial Analysts to join our wider finance teams on a 18 month Fixed Term Contract basis. Ideally you will be technically strong with past experience within insurance and have a good understanding of regulations within our sphere. Who you'll be working with You'll be part of a vibrant and relaxed finance function all based in one open plan office at the heart of our Head Office. We are growing several of our teams there and you are likely to be one of several new starters in 2020. They are a social team, often arranging team events or meetups. What you'll be doing You will provide data, analytical support and recommendations to the wider teams by accurately mining data records, providing insightful analysis to inform reserving, forecasting and monitoring. You will also review work and provide guidance and feedback to less experienced team members, taking on a mentoring role to ensure knowledge is constantly shared. We need you to help us with advice around uncertainties, which come equally from the natural volatility of large claims or from a change in legislation, such as IFRS 17 which we are preparing for now.
