Senior Business Intelligence Analyst We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with strong experience on data analytics and insights' population by the usage of internal company data as well as external market data. Our end goal is to provide our Sales and Client Facing teams with actionable and timely insights in order to create more client engagement touchpoints, ahead of time, and allow them to be proactive and ahead of the changes and the performance of the market. Who we're looking for Have strong data interrogation, analysis and reporting skills ideally from within a large, dynamic, multi-site business. Ability to bring market context into the data and derive actionable insights Project flow and management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience of working in agile teams and an advocate for collaboration It would be desirable if the candidate had an understanding of an Investment Management/Asset Management firm. The base You will be working in a new purpose built state of the art office based in Moorgate with onsite facilities including a gym, doctors, dentist, coffee shop, restaurant and lots of collaboration spaces including balcony gardens. The team The Distribution function is the client facing arm of the Asset Manager, encompassing Sales, Relationship Management (RM), and Client Service, operating in over 30 countries. As the function continues to grow and develop globally, so the requirement to service this division with timely, accurate and insightful Management Information (MI) and actionable insights are critical to managing the business. The Business Intelligence (BI) team is a small business facing team embedded within the Distribution function, located primarily in London but serving a diverse set of consumers at all levels right across Distribution. The team has the responsibility for running a MIS platform, producing a variety of printable monthly reports for senior management, embed market data into its existing reporting in order to benchmark the company against the market and its competitors and provides actionable insights in order to facilitate the performance of its client facing stakeholders. It covers the back end databases as well as the front end reporting and visualisations. What you'll do You will be a core member of the Business Intelligence Team within Distribution Analytics. You will be required to work within a capability aligned agile team and may also be required to work on large scale Projects The profile that we are looking for, is of a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who is eager to share the knowledge, coach and inspire the other team members. This person should be an innovative and passionate individual who demonstrates a superior level of skill, experience and professionalism relative to their peers. We are looking for someone who is willing to show the way towards data exploration and work closely with out data science team in order to achieve the most valuable insights possible. Key Responsibilities: Support Capability [Product] owners and leads to ensure that features and stories to be delivered by the Technology Capability teams are suitable defined and structured Responsible for leading analysis and solution design tasks which contribute to the delivery of working software Responsible for contributing to the analysis, development, and testing of working software Accountable for ensuring committed analysis and solution design objectives are met within agreed timelines Responsible for contributing to all elements of planning, including estimates for analysis assignments, testing and the support acceptance process Participate enthusiastically and effectively in Schroders agile ceremonies Committed to increasing their skills and experience in non-core specialisms (Development and testing) Supporting other team members to improve their analysis skills and experiences General and Technical Skills: Experienced in the development and deployment of MI, reporting and analytics solutions A good understanding of how BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Einstein Analytics & Alteryx work and experience using these would be beneficial Product management experience including using Agile and Scrum techniques Experienced at managing and motivating small teams A track record of delivering to tight deadlines Wide experience of business analysis across a number of different capabilities, systems or teams; number of different (positive) experiences is valued higher than length of experience High level of tec
