Job Description
Location: Edinburgh Bakery Job type: Full Time Monday-Friday. Contract: Permanent Salary: Competitive Are you someone who likes solving problems and seeing processes through from start to finish, then working in this fast paced and innovative business is for you. We are now looking for someone who is curious and intrigued about the role packaging plays within a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that once we have baked our sensational tasting biscuits, the packaging process happens seamlessly. To reach this goal you will investigate any issues within the packaging process, such as ensuring that artwork fits the cutter guides and looking at ways to improve processes, a key part of this role is validating new packaging components are fit for purpose (before they reach the shop floor). You will also be heavily involved in the reduction of waste, both in the materials used but also making sure pallet space is fully maximised. Sustainability & cost savings are key things on the agenda, so you'll be tasked with looking at how materials can be removed or reduced, as well as how the materials we use can be recycled.
