This is a key leadership role within the Chief Data Office focused on unlocking the potential of data for M&G plc., in order to realise tangible value. As the enterprise Data Delivery Lead you will drive the efficient and effective delivery of data projects across the organisation working closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met. Key work level accountabilities for this level of role: Critical role in translating strategy into implementation plans, influences and contributes to the strategy Ensures successful implementation of defined strategy Typically leaders of teams, or technical roles will lead the provision of advice across an area of expertise Balances competing requirements to deliver a balanced set of results, resolving significant or priority conflicts Addresses problems with broad reaching ramifications, with a need to manage different parts of complex systems and link to the broader picture Responsible for driving continuous improvement Drives incremental and transformational change in response to experience of market and customer needs, typically leads the delivery of major programmes of work Allocates resources optimally to deliver on strategy, prioritising conflicting resource demands, agendas and activities Key accountabilities for this role: Establish and lead the enterprise Data Delivery team Establish and own enterprise Data Delivery approach and model (change) which leverages new data technologies and methods Establish and own a Data delivery practice (resource) Enterprise wide delivery capability and skills development Programme data workstream delivery oversight Raise awareness and drive the importance of data (in line with the Data Vision and Strategy) across the organisation. Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment and customers outcomes. Key knowledge, skills & experience: Experienced delivery professional with explicit data delivery experience Practical experience of agile delivery techniques and is aware of approaches to scale agile delivery across teams/functions Experience of managing large teams (100FTE+) in a distributed model Knowledge of data (and data delivery) technologies and practices including practical challenges to successful implementation Experience of building data delivery skills and capabilities (business change and technical) Demonstrates strong stakeholder management, leadership and influence High execution focus A strong track record of introducing best practice and delivering change.
