We are seeking a Senior Application Analyst to lead on the provision of prompt and effective technical support of key corporate business and departmental applications across the Council. As a Senior Applications Analyst you must provide accurate, quality analyses of new program applications, as well as conduct testing, locate potential problems, and solve them in an efficient manner as you will be looking to improve system processes and continually review the system landscape to provide a better service to our customers. Alongside this, you will provide application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Standard DBS. To be considered for one of these exciting opportunities the successful candidates will be experienced application analysts with at least a BSc in relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience. You'll bring experience and an understanding of IT/ IS infrastructure and the ICT applications as well as applying organized and documented techniques to facilitate the structured and open support and development of applications. While technical knowledge is crucial, you'll need more than this to succeed. Some soft skills you will need are team-work, creative thinking, an eye for detail and strong collaboration skills. * Ideally 2-5 years of relevant experience as an Application Analyst * Experience of providing application maintenance and support services and giving advice to users * Experience of configuring applications to ensure that the functionality is fully exploited * Experience or knowledge of the application of automated systems * Experience or knowledge of the DEVOPS approach where development and operational staff work together * Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and appropriate manner and work with a range of audience We also need you to have experience of one of the following applications: * Experience working with and enhancing the Civica OPENRevenues product or related products * Experience working with and enhancing the Servelec MOSAIC product including MOSAIC form development or related products.
