Commercial Express have an exciting new opportunity for a Financial Controller to join their award-winning team based on the Waterfront in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. www.commercialexpress.co.uk Due to retirement in Q3 2020, we are looking for a results driven and confident Financial Controller to manage and improve our organisation's financial performance and lead our accounting operations. Duties will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing the accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitor expenditure, co-ordinating auditing processes and ensuring accuracy of financial information. Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a Financial Controller will aid our three companies in maintaining positive financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving targets and developing financial plans that support our strategy. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, be highly organized and have excellent leadership skills. They will also have the ability to look at streamlining our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports and develop the capabilities of a team. Responsibilities: - Preparing monthly financial reports - Analysing financial data - Monitoring internal controls - Leading budgeting process - Managing financial transactions - Streamline accounting functions and operations - Developing plans for financial growth - Evaluating and managing risk - Co-ordinating audit processes - Regulatory returns i.e. RMAR - Prepare Statutory accounts pack Requirements: - Proven experience in finance management - Good communication skills - Strong leadership qualities - Excellent interpersonal skills - Auditing experience - Compliance orientated - Proficiency in excel and accounting software - Analytical skills - Understanding of client money rules / CASS - Experience in identifying and implementing financial systems - Preferably qualified to degree level and/or ACCA or CIMA but not essential In return we offer a competitive salary based on experience, 28 Days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Health Cashplan, Death in service benefit, Pension scheme, Free Parking, Free Breakfasts Apply for this Job
