Customer Support Technician Khaos Control Solutions was born in 2000 and is a rapidly expanding software company based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Position: Customer Support Technician Location: Grantham, NG31 (Commutable from Newark-on-Trent, Colsterworth, Melton Mowbray, Sleaford, Bourne, and surrounding areas) Contract type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £17,500 - £19,000 per annum plus a comprehensive employee benefits package Working Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 hrs) We are seeking another IT savvy Customer Support Technician to join our growing team. You will not be phased by comprehensive software systems and will thrive within our service environment and relaxed yet dedicated working culture. You will want to learn how our systems work and to share your growing knowledge, helping your colleagues succeed and aiding our customers in taking their businesses forward. By continually expanding your understanding of our systems, you will provide an exceptional customer support service. SKILLS FOR THE ROLE Essential * Proficient with IT and passionate about technology. * Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications. * A can-do attitude with an ability to problem solve, prioritise, and manage workload. * An understanding of the importance of data protection and information security best-practices. * High emotional intelligence with the ability to make connections and deliver exceptional customer service. * A clear communicator, both over the phone and by email. * A team player; effective under your own steam and equally at ease collaborating with colleagues. * Ready to learn and to continue learning. Desirable * Familiar with retail and e-commerce businesses, how they work, and their key processes. * Technical awareness and knowledge of incident and problem management practices. * Previous customer service, service desk, or support work experience within a technical environment. * Knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and other database technologies, with the ability to write and understand efficient structured queries. QUALIFICATIONS Essential * Minimum of Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) high grade passes. Desirable * IT related degree or comparable qualification.
