Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 nurse specialist to work with the Acute Oncology Services (AOS) in Frimley Park Hospital for a part time one year fixed term contract for 22.5 hours per week with the AOS team. The successful applicant will work as part of a well-established dynamic multi-disciplinary team who provide specialist advice for the diagnosis, management, treatment and on-going care and support of cancer patients. You will also be involved in supporting and advising members of the health care teams with the hospital. Ideally you should have experience of caring for patients with cancer. You will be fully supported to further develop your knowledge and skills in cancer and acute oncology through a well-structured development plan and the support of a mentor. Applications for this post are invited from nurses who have experience as a band 6. You should have an oncology experience or be committed to work towards this and have excellent communication skills. You should be committed to continuing education.
