Weymouth and Portland Community Mental Health Team, have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse as a dedicated Duty Worker. The post holder will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team, made up of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurses, Social Workers, Admin and Support Time Recovery Workers. The role involves you being a dedicated Duty Worker, receiving, screening and processing referrals as well as undertaking assessments and providing telephone support to service users within our service. You will be a committed, dynamic, motivated professional with excellent communication, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your work. You should have recent experience of working in a mental health environment; you will be able to apply the philosophies of engagement and recovery in your work with service users. A basic level of IT literacy is an essential requirement. The team is basedin Weymouth, Dorset and the post holder will need to have the ability to travel by car as they will be required to assess and monitor patients in their own homes and within other community settings. Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of 40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
