Job Summary The Enabling Works Interface Manager has responsibility to manage the technical interface relationship between Mace Dragados (CP) and the following interfacing parties: · Enabling Works Contractor · To interface with Main Works Civil Contractor (MWCC) and adjacent works These interfaces are to be managed in accordance with the CP Interface Management Plan. The role is from a technical perspective for both design and construction. Relationship management will be the responsibility of the stakeholder management team. Responsib ilities · Establish strong working relationships with the Enabling Works Contractor & connection with MWCC project teams, the Station Design Services Contract, the CP's design team (SDSC) and set up formal and informal communications channels. · Responsible to the Senior Interface Manager. · Work closely with the CP Enabling Works Interface Engineer, construction manager, design managers and design team. · To manage the CP's Enabling Works Interface Management Plan and escalate any issues to the Senior Interface Manager. · Manage technical interface with the interfacing parties in accordance with the Mace Dragados Interface Management Plan. · Responsible for producing and maintaining the Interface Control Documents (ICD's) for Mace Dragados for each interface. An ICD sets out how the interface will be controlled, assigned and define the evidence to support closure or transfer. · Responsible for updating and maintaining the Interface Registers per interface in accordance with the Mace Dragados Interface Management Plan. · Provide status reporting for each interface. · Provide interface entries to the requirements set, and design risk, issues and assumptions registers, amongst others. · Chair interface meetings and produce meeting notes to capture: o the status of actions from the last meeting; o Interface Register items, reviewed in chronological order. It is essential to assign action owners, management category, including evidence required to close out the interface. Specific Safety Responsibilities: § Comply with the requirements of Mace Dragados HS&W Management Plan and co-operate with the efforts to prevent accidents and ill health. § Ensure that the information required to collate CDM Health and Safety file is included in the CDM register. § Carry out investigations with appropriate personnel into accidents or incidents that occur on site and report findings and recommendations to the Construction Manager. Technical Competencies required *Have excellent communication skills (including presentation skills) in English, both written and verbal and the ability to report at all levels; and *Ability to manage teams of people in a multi-disciplinary environment. *Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage own time. * *Knowledge of interface management processes such as interface identification / capture, recording, assignment & arbitration, monitoring & reporting, and control, acceptance & closure. Qualifications, Certifications and Experience required · Educated to degree or higher level in a surveying, engineering, mining or construction discipline. A lower educational level, typically HNC or HND or a fully recorded vocational training to an equivalent level may be acceptable where a significant level of experience in a technical engineering role can be demonstrated. · Previous experience in a similar role with aligned responsibilities & accountabilities.
