Sr Director, Enterprise Negotiation, McKesson Global Procurement and Sourcing Grade: M5 As the leader in pharmaceutical distribution and supply chain management, McKesson delivers supply, technology and care management solutions to over 120,000 retail and health system pharmacies. In 2014 McKesson acquired Celesio, a leading pharmaceutical wholesaler and retailer operating in 14 countries across Europe and delivering more than 8.5 million products per day to pharmacies and hospitals. McKesson Global Procurement & Sourcing Ltd (MGPS) was established to achieve purchasing synergies by capitalizing on the global scale and capabilities of both McKesson and Celesio as well as develop and drive the private label sourcing strategy for the organization.MGPS is a fully owned legal entity of McKesson Corporation that is responsible for negotiating global agreements and developing strategic partnerships with the industry's leading pharmaceutical and non Rx suppliers, supporting the development of the commercial category strategies for Gx, Bx, Non Rx and parallel trade across Europe, as well as oversee the group's private label sourcing including generics, OTC and medical surgical/para pharmaceuticals. Job Summary The Sr Director, Enterprise Negotiation will be responsible for creating the vision and strategy for enterprise negotiations supporting the organization whilst leveraging enterprise scale to create value. In this role, this individual will lead and support high priority negotiations projects related to company sourcing model, market analysis, emerging industry trends, portfolio analysis, and identification of strategic and enterprise needs. The role is based in London, UK, and reports to the President of MGPS. Key Responsibilities/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Create vision and strategy for enterprise negotiations * Inspire leaders across MGPS and McKesson to follow enterprise negotiation vision * Develop and build capabilities and organization to deliver vision * Leverage enterprise scale to create value * Build high performing team and develop sourcing leaders * Partner with the business stakeholder to execute and operationalize the projects to deliver financial value to McKesson * Facilitates business problem solving through structured hypotheses, detailed analyses, and synthesized insights leading to recommendations to senior management * Works with finance and analytics to establish analytical frameworks and conducts complex business analyses * Conducts external research / data gathering and analysis * Supports the MGPS leadership to help them achieve long term goals and project objectives * Drives discrete components of work and analysis to successful completion * Creates high-quality presentations / deliverables for various internal and external audiences * Builds trust and productive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the organization, as well as influences and gains acceptance of others to one's ideas through effective communication, relevant and insightful analyses, and creative thinking The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: * 10+ years' work experience ideally within consulting, business development or strategy preferably within the healthcare or consumer industries or relevant industry experience as well as experience within M&A * Strategic Thinking : evaluating industry trends, developing long-term implications and recommending pragmatic strategies for new business opportunities * Analytical Rigor : ability to bring structure to ill-defined problems and intellectual leadership to problem solving; synthesize insights from analysis and ensure credible, actionable recommendations * Financial Acumen : understanding of financial modeling and experience with financial planning, budgeting and capital allocation in the context of strategic planning to maximize shareholder value * Communications Skills : ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively * Healthcare Knowledge (Preferable) : knowledge of stakeholders, trends, economic drivers and policy across healthcare EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE Bachelors' degree, or equivalent experience.
