This is an opportunity to join the mainly London based technology team which is responsible for the ongoing build of the platform for the world's first physically delivered cryptocurrency futures exchange, CoinFLEX. Some of the features of CoinFLEX; * CoinFLEX provides physically delivered cryptocurrency futures; Customers receive or deliver the digital asset so no cash price settlement and manipulation risk. * We are backed by a consortium of professional trading partners, Trading Technologies, Crypto Veterans, Market Makers and VCs. You may have heard of Polychain Capital, Dragonfly Capital and Roger Ver amongst others. * No in-house trading desk; we don't compete with our customers * Super high-performance API with up to 200 API orders/sec per user CoinFLEX offers a fully featured REST API and streaming Websocket API * We have been live for close to a year and have daily trading volumes of hundreds of millions of dollars in cryptocurrency futures and growing. * We secured funding ($10 million) in July 2019 and are now building out a world beating team and trading venue, our vision is to be the most exciting and accessible cryptocurrency trading venue anywhere. Job Description CoinFLEX has a globally distributed Devops team which is critical in enabling our 24/7/365 trading operations. We are looking for a server side devops engineer to join the team in London to help improve our Devops function, whilst adding another pair of skilled hands to take some of the workload from the two incumbent team members in London. There is also an opportunity for this role to take on leadership responsibilities for the devops function globally if the right hire can be found. We're looking for an experienced hire, although seniority level is flexible between senior and lead, we have a few must haves and a load of nice to haves on the spec below which help to show the technology we currently work with. There is also a lot of opportunity at CoinFLEX to bring in new technologies as we are highly progressive. We run a highly complex, high performance and mission critical set of systems which are live and trading all day, every day. This hire needs to be someone who is comfortable with this and the workload and odd hours it can sometimes bring, whilst this hire is aimed at alleviating the pressure on availability across the group, sometimes it will be 'all hands to the pump' to get things done. It's important to note that this role will be on the on-call shift rota with the rest of team. Skills and experience required * Linux. * Scripting, particularly Shell and or Python ideally. * Experience of automating processes which are initially manual, complex and laborious. * Some level of experience with AWS or perhaps another cloud provider. * Experience with messaging systems, we currently have Kafka and Rabbit MQ however experience with any messaging systems is fine. * An interest and appreciation of security techniques Nice to Have Team leadership experience, InfluxDB, ZeroMQ, Docker, Atlassian, Jira, Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD, Kubernetes, SQL, PostgreSQL CoinFLEX people From tough but determined and successful beginnings we are forging strong company values for the business, we are building a team of smart, positive, collaborative, productive, ambitious, entrepreneurial, energetic and success oriented people.
