Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and adaptable person to join our Quarry Engineering team based on 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you'll be responsible for providing engineering support on shift to ensure 100% production equipment availability through preventative and reactive maintenance. As well as your mechanical/electrical engineering experience , you'll be required to demonstrate high standards of work and a logical approach to problem solving . You'll also need to be highly organised, results focussed and a confident communicator , happy to provide coaching and support to the production team. Your knowledge and experience will be backed by a relevant engineering qualification. Key accountabilities will include: * Maintain excellent levels of service to the production operation. * To carry out planned maintenance to world class standards in line with the maintenance plan. * Ensure all engineering procedures are adhered to, and all work carried out to relevant legislation and guidelines. * Ensure all work is carried out in a controlled manner in line with the company's technical procedures. * Maintain a safe clean working environment for all members of staff on site. * Manage contractors if required. Cover engineering absence to ensure correct engineering cover is achieved. Key areas of work will include: * Maintain production equipment in acceptable working order * Minimize time reaction to machinery breakdown. * Reduce machinery down time. * Improve machinery efficiency. * Train operators on new machinery if required. * Demonstrate a proactive attitude toward maintenance. * Proactively promote correct use of equipment.
