The opportunity Just Eat's Marketing Analytics team provides insightful analytics to our Global Marketing team, in order to maximise ROI from the global marketing budget and communicate with our customers most effectively. We do that by using data to activate the marketing strategy, and lead the understand-test-measure-optimise cycle across audience, creative, messaging, and media. In a three-sided marketplace, growth is driven by a balanced focus on each user group: Customers, Restaurants, and Couriers. To be successful in this mission, we're looking for passionate, analytical, marketing analysts, who are self-motivated, curious, and keen to solve unique and challenging tasks across all these areas. We are looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst with an insatiable curiosity to understand the best ways to engage our users, ensuring our marketing budget and effort is spent most effectively. You will be responsible for taking an idea from raw data right through to actionable insights, using your analytical toolkit to create value for our stakeholders and users. As a great storyteller, you are comfortable explaining complex analysis with stakeholders in a straightforward and meaningful way. With extensive experience as a data analyst, you have knowledge of cohort modelling, retention curves, funnel analysis, customer site/app journeys, app engagement, marketing campaigns analytics and are comfortable remodelling data to enable your analysis. After understanding a business area or challenge, you support your stakeholders in running hypothesis-driven experiments, ensuring decisions are data-driven and value-creating. Analysis areas might include (but not limited to): acquisition, activation, retention, lifetime value, messaging, promotions, usage and engagement. Key Responsibilities * Empathise with Just Eat users' attitudes and behaviours to increase awareness, and drive order growth * Collaborate to scope, design, execute, measure, and improve the impact of our marketing efforts on our restaurant partners, customers, and couriers * Translate data insights into actions and recommendations that will drive customer growth, order growth, engagement, and marketing effectiveness * Develop quantitative analysis, tools, ad hoc reports, dashboards and models to support well-informed marketing decision making. * Define and analyse metrics that inform the success of marketing campaigns Required skills and experience Candidate Profile * Educational background in economics, operations research, mathematics, statistics, engineering or similar * Demonstrable experience in data analysis or similar quantitative fields, applying experimentation methods to test various hypotheses * Experience finding, cleaning and manipulating data to build data sets * Experience with SQL or other data querying language * Experience with communicating with cross-functional stakeholders including marketing managers, product managers, engineers, and brand strategists * Statistical modelling and data analysis experience * Experience using R or Python for statistical modelling * Experience developing data pipelines * Basic experience or basic understanding of machine learning * Background in marketing analytics and/or marketing strategy with hands-on experience analysing and/or managing paid marketing channels Why work at Just Eat?
