Overview
Job Description
We are looking for a Bank Maintenance Person to join the team working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor. This role will predominantly be based at our home in Otterbourne, but may require travel to our homes in the local area on occasion (Chandlers Ford/Winchester/Alton). The role of Maintenance Person is key to Brendoncare and requires someone with a basic working knowledge of electrical work, plumbing and an understanding of Health and Safety legislation, along with at least one trade skill. We are particularly interested in candidates who are organised and have good all-round communication skills, along with a basic knowledge of IT. Good record keeping skills and attention to detail are paramount, in addition to a natural affinity for working with older people. What will you be doing? * Conducting regular routine checks of the building and facilities; * Identifying faults and either rectifying them or engaging appropriate contractors to undertake the work; * Ensuring a Planned Preventative Programme for the home is kept up to date and works are carried out as scheduled; * Undertaking redecoration of the Care Home as required including the redecoration of vacant rooms; * Undertaking/monitoring grounds maintenance; * Ensuring Health and Safety regulations and Brendoncare's Policies and Procedures are adhered to; * Carrying out Risk Assessments. In return we offer an hourly rate of £10.20. In addition we provide training and continual personal development, a free uniform, a free initial DBS Check and free staff meals when on duty.
