Brendoncare are recruiting for Care Assistants to join our team of bank staff, and work at our Park Road home based in Winchester, Hampshire. Brendoncare Park Road, our popular Winchester nursing home, provides nursing care for 40 residents, enabling older people to live independent, happy and fulfilling lives. Who are you? We need you to be like minded in this approach, valuing the small things which are important to each of our residents. Although previous experience in this field is preferred it is not essential as full training is provided and your values are more important to us. As our Care Assistant your duties will include: - Providing personal care to clients that is person centred and respects individual choices; Providing additional care and support as required when a client is unwell or towards end of life; Acting as a Key-worker to a number of clients; Using personal knowledge and experience of working with those individuals to support the nurses in writing and reviewing care plans; Documenting care given and record any changes or abnormalities in the daily notes in addition to informing the person in charge of the shift; Providing support and advice to resident's family and friends, keeping them informed at an appropriate level with due regard to the constraints of confidentiality. To be considered for the role of Care Assistant, we need you to: Be flexible in working hours, including working weekends Be able to demonstrate our four key values Have a caring, compassionate nature Be punctual and reliable In return we offer an hourly rate of 9.70 (10.05 with NVQ2 in Health and Social Care).
