Who we're looking for We're looking for a Team Assistant who thrives on creating order from chaos and who wants to join and support the team within our division as they work to support the wider Goverance team at Schroders. We want a proactive problem solver who's not afraid to manage up, telling the team heads where they need to be and when. You'll do this by absorbing and understanding the context of the teams' operations and the stakeholders they engage with, both internal and external. You'll know who's-who and what the meeting is for and thus seamlessly know the difference between what is essential, what can be rearranged, and what needs to be cut. The team The Asset Management Secretariat is a friendly, experienced, and inclusive team of six that collaborates extensively with the wider Schroders business. We are one half of the Governance team (the other half being the Corporate and Wealth Secretariat). The business considers us to be trusted advisors, and we work hard to maintain this confidence. What you'll do Managing requests for information across a sector of our Group companies Maintaining information on our dedicated intranet site Managing our Board portal - requests to be added to the list of users, assisting the business with requests and liaising with the provider on our requests and queries as necessary Maintenance on a database of individuals defined as business 'insiders' Arranging board meetings and lunches Diary management Loading Board papers onto our Board portal Drafting skeleton Board minutes Maintaining our electronic filing system Making statutory filings and maintaining our statutory database Administration for our range of investment trusts Monitoring the team inbox for requests from the business and shareholders The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need Work in a busy office, no qualifications needed The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help experience in financial services would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite. What you'll be like highly organised, able to prioritise and to deliver within strict deadlines; confident, with the ability to hold the attention and respect of directors and senior management; able to work quickly and accurately under pressure with minimum supervision; analytical and highly disciplined; proactive and self-motivated; and an effective team player.
