TheProcurementSpecialist will have responsibility for end to end management of the purchasing function of Dark Fibre services within the Fibre Solutions Product Group in Europe. Principal Accountabilities: * Researching the market place to locate products, services and suppliers whilst advising the company on best practice and opportunity. * Tendering via the appropriateprocurementmethod for any new or existing requirements. * Appraising, ascertaining and screening supplier capabilities to provide required products and services in a timely manner. * Developing, implementing and maintainingprocurement processes that support the business ongoing & changing requirements. * Negotiating supplier contracts to support complex turnkey projects * Drafting and controlling contractual documentation * Maintaining a joined up approach with the delivery team to ensure fulfilment runs smoothly and issues are picked up early and acted upon * Maintaining an inventory of existing or inherited products and services, ensuring that information is accurate, readily available and up to date * Resolving supplier or contract queries. Monitor and drive SLA adherence to ensure products and services perform as intended * Managing existing suppliers and contracts to ensure run rate costs are regularly assessed and reduced to ensure a competitive cost base across selected categories Key Skills & Attributes: * Experience in technology, telecommunications would be desirable * The ability to combine professional project management andprocurementskills on large scale technology projects * Self-starter who takes responsibility * An accomplished negotiator with suppliers and customers alike * Ambitious and resilient, welcomes a fast paced, dynamic and changing environment * An achiever always focused on the key deliverables with a "can do" mindset * Commercial awareness with an ability to assess risk in the appropriate context * Have previous experience working on cost savings projects, spend rationalisation. * Salesforce.com: prior experience is desirable Education & experience: * Degree Qualified or equivalent in terms of experience * Masters of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) is an advantage * A minimum of two years' experience in a vendor management role * Candidate's track record will feature achievements across the broad range of project management and strategic purchasing skills including internal consulting, tender management, partnership development, supplier evaluation and selection, contract development and negotiation and supplier management.
