Job Description
We are looking to recruit a H&S Coordinator for Local Authority on a 6-month contract The successful candidate will hold a relevant NEBOSH certificate and have worked within an affordable housing environment. You will provide specialist H&S support within planned construction works, responsive repairs and maintenance sectors, including ensuring assurances that all sites are Covid secure. Key responsibilities include * Respond to health and safety incidents and provide appropriate advice and guidance to managers. * input with RIDDOR reporting and in doing so liaise with Corporate Services as needed * Contribute with the development and upkeep of risk assessments and procedures. * Maintain health and safety database files as required. * Provide input with health and safety campaigns, initiatives and projects. * Develop/collate pre-construction phase plans that will include contract documents, specifications, risk assessments, method statements and other relevant information. * Take ownership of construction safety and administration for allocated projects ensuring that safety arrangements are fit for purpose. * Facilitate and maintain contract safety files as needed.
