This is a key leadership role within the Chief Data Office focused on unlocking the potential of data for M&G plc., in order to realise tangible value. As the enterprise Data Exploitation Lead you will drive the consistent use of data science, analysis and visualisation capabilities across the organisation working closely with senior business stakeholders to ensure that their ideas are bought to reality. Key work level accountabilities for this level of role: Critical role in translating strategy into implementation plans, influences and contributes to the strategy Ensures successful implementation of defined strategy Typically leaders of teams, or technical roles will lead the provision of advice across an area of expertise Balances competing requirements to deliver a balanced set of results, resolving significant or priority conflicts Addresses problems with broad reaching ramifications, with a need to manage different parts of complex systems and link to the broader picture Responsible for driving continuous improvement Drives incremental and transformational change in response to experience of market and customer needs, typically leads the delivery of major programmes of work Allocates resources optimally to deliver on strategy, prioritising conflicting resource demands, agendas and activities Key accountabilities for this role: Establish and lead the enterprise Data Exploitation team Establish and own enterprise exploitation approach and model including the balance between central and local business activities for reporting, analytics, data science, AI, visualisation Establish and own a Data exploitation practice (resource) Enterprise wide exploitation capability and skills development Drive enterprise wide automation/standardisation of exploitation processes Drive business engagement and work with them to build a backlog of data exploitation use cases and activities Execution of critical Reporting; Modelling; Insight; AI processes Raise awareness and drive the importance of data (in line with the Data Vision and Strategy) across the organisation. Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment and customers outcomes. Key knowledge, skills & experience: Experienced data insight professional Practical experience of leading data exploitation teams in a significant organisation Understands when different analytical and visualisation tools and techniques should be used Practical experience of Data Science and AI tools and techniques Experience of automating insight processes Experience of leading large teams (100 FTE+) in a distributed model Demonstrates strong stakeholder management and executive level communication skills A strong track record of introducing best practice and delivering change.
