Job Description
This position will focus specifically on integration testing of Couchbase Server, the world's leading NOSQL database, with cloud technologies, enterprise tools ecosystem partners. Responsibilities include building and supporting technical integration and product management efforts with these partners. The ideal candidate understands the potential within cloud computing and has worked as a Software Developer and or QA/QE test and automation Engineer. Responsibilities * You will analyse, design, develop and test systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort. * Primarily work integrating with cloud technologies - IaaS, PaaS and Enterprise tools integrations, for example, monitoring, logging and development tools. * Additional responsibilities include armouring working with external vendors and customers; configuring lab environments and specifications. Preferred Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * 3 - 5 years of experience in any popular programming languages (example: golang, Java, C/C++) * Minimum 2+ years of experience with REST API. * Ability to work on multiple platforms (Linux and Windows). * Familiar with Kubernetes and ideally familiar with OpenShift, knowledge of major open source & commercial distributions. * Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python) * Knowledge of cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, security, automation and orchestration * Experience with virtualization technologies, in particular Docker Containers, VMWare and KVM * Ideally has experience with the implementation and/or operations of medium to large-scale enterprise cloud infrastructures. * Good knowledge of public cloud infrastructure and APIs include IaaS and PaaS offerings; must be able to describe in some detail elements of public cloud infrastructure. * Good understanding of data security and privacy concerns; the ideal candidate would be familiar with public key infrastructure and related standards.
