Business Title: Account Manager Auto req ID: 9637BR Country: United Kingdom Overall Job Summary: An account management position where strong previous experience of Brand packaging development is key. Based onsite at the client office, the successful candidate will be part of our packaging team within British American Tobacco. This full time and demanding role requires an individual with a high level of proven presentation and communication skills, who can illustrate their experience in cradle to grave project management in the FMCG sector. Preferably you are already from either the retail / FMCG markets or print / packaging industry. Job Responsibilities: Relationship Management * Build and sustain a strong relationship with the Packaging Development team responsible for NGP Vype / VUSE / Glo Brands. Work as a liaison between the Packaging Development team and commercial / marketing categories. * Work to establish Schawk as the artwork provider of choice, building key relationships across key depts. in BAT. * To build a key relationship with the BAT Head of NGP Packaging * Act as the Account Manager contact for the Schawk team on site. Manage the day to day running of the account within your category ensuring that client needs are met. * Work closely with client and give required support as necessary. * Hold weekly update meetings with the client to discuss project status across the business. Discuss any concerns with regards to volumes, category issues and delays with projects. * Build relationships with all client contacts and hold weekly meetings to discuss project status ensuring that service levels from Schawk teams are being maintained. * Maintain relationships with key suppliers in each category. Ensure that Schawk is working efficiently with them to achieve the launch timescales. Assist new suppliers to grasp the client process by hosting supplier days at the studio and presenting at client conferences when requested. * Keep abreast of trends in the retail market and how they may affect the client. Be commercially aware and responsive to client needs. * Attend client and supplier studio tours as required. Assist the Account Manager with presentation of the artwork and repro process. Process * Oversee high profile projects and corporate redesigns. * Address critical path deadline delays with commercial categories when necessary. Manage all aspects of category expectations. * Work with design studio to identify any ranges which could be developed using the 'hero' process to save cost. Range Management * Own and be responsible for ensuring that all artwork projects are managed in a professional manner. * Create and manage critical paths according to client launch schedule and knowledge of print lead times. * Manage the approval of pack copies via the client system, including Legal. * Manage the approval of design, photography, artwork and repro to ensure the design seal date is met. * Build a relationship with leading design studio contacts. Ensure that cutters are sent in a timely fashion. * Arrange and attend design development and pre-production meetings with suppliers, printers, client and pre-production technician. Ensure any concerns with the printability of the design are discussed. Arrange 3D Mock-ups when required through the Schawk Witham 3D rendering team. * Manage the handover of approved design files from design agency ensuring correct cutters are supplied at the beginning of projects. * Brief artwork using the Schawk MIS. Ensure that briefs are accurate and communicated clearly. Target a <10% query rate. * Upload artworks for approval using BAT systems. * Work with the brand guardian and production manager to ensure that range reviews are carried out on all new designs. * Arrange and chair artwork sign off meetings. * Manage the artwork approval process. Gain agreement on an approved artwork to take forward to repro. * Provide status report to client, Suppliers & Printers on a weekly basis, either 1:1 or via conference call. * Work with pre-production department with regards to press passing requirements. * Work with suppliers & printers to ensure printed samples are submitted after press runs for approval. Commercials * Oversee the commercial aspects of the account with the support of the Account Services Director * Maintain up to date knowledge of latest packaging developments and communicate findings with category personnel.
