Job Description
There are 2 part time positions available 33.75 hours and a part time 22.5 hours posts available. There are 3 Neonatal Units within Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Level 3 care is provided at The Royal Hospital for Children and The Princess Royal Maternity Hospital. The Neonatal Unit at The Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley provides Level 2 care. You will be responsible for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients. In the absence of the ward manager, provide cover to ensure the effective operation of the clinical area. You will also be responsible the provision of the highest quality of neonatal nursing/ midwifery care in accordance with the philosophy and policies outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Acute Division and effectively manage the service within the span of your control. It is essential you are Registered Adult or Children's Nurse / Midwife with appropriate registration. You should have relevant post registration experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit The shift pattern is Day/Night rotation.
