Job Description

Diabetes Support Nurse An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated registered nurse, with a broad range of clinical experience and some experiences in diabetes management, to join the Barnet Diabetes Team as a Diabetes Support Nurse. The candidate will work towards providing specialist clinical advice, delivering patients' education programme, and performing audits through mentorship, clinical supervision and support from senior staff members. The candidate will be working with other specialist nurses, specialist dietitians, clinical pharmacist and Consultant to provide specialist advice and education for Complex Type 2 Diabetes and some Type 1 diabetes patients, in addition to providing training for other Healthcare Professionals. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, be a team player and also be able to work independently. You should be able to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions and within stressful, unpredictable situations including responding to and solving urgent and emergency situations on a daily basis.
