Are you looking to develop your Occupational Therapy skills in inpatient rehabilitation within Stroke and General rehabilitation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering client centered evidence based care. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and innovative multi-disciplinary team. . You will have a role developing your Occupational Therapy practice and deliver evidence based rehabilitation and assessments for clients in a variety of settings including clients own homes, residential and care homes and community hospitals. And will need you to build and maintain key relationships with acute and community referrers to the services as well as partners in the community, across CLCH, including the community Falls Prevention Service, Stroke and Rehabilitation Units, Parkinson's Unit, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases team, Learning Disabilities, Falls Services, Wheelchair services and Musculoskeletal Outpatient services. This post will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, rehabilitation assistants and students participate in any audit or development being undertaken by the service. CLCH offers a variety of training opportunities to clinical staff and is committed in supporting continuous professional development of their workforce and offer regular in-services and CPD opportunities. The post is supported by Highly Specialist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, a Team lead and the Operational Manager for Bedded Rehabilitation. It is essential that you have current HPC registration and recognised qualifications as an Occupational Therapist. You should have 2 year's experience working with a variety of patients and rehabilitation experience. Can clearly demonstrate skills for specialist assessment and treatment of clients with a range of presentations and comorbidities, and a variety of other conditions (including MSK, geriatrics, falls, parkinson's, amputees and orthopaedics). Experience will include working in multi-professional teams and across a range of different agencies to achieve the optimum outcome for service users (including working in the community). You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a positive and innovative approach to service development and have a commitment to multi-disciplinary team working/skill sharing. You will also have the ability to support and develop more junior staff and the responsibility to deliver training and use all relevant research and audit data to ensure the service meets the evidence base requirements.
