Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) - Based nr Bromsgrove - £30-£35k DOE Fashion / Luxury / Lifestyle products My client is a fresh and dynamic multi award-winning company producing premium quality, designer-led products, supplying hundreds of clients via b2b here in the UK and with exponential growth internationally, and who seek the brightest and boldest talent. About the Role An unprecedented opportunity, we are looking for a commercially-minded, creative and dynamic Marketing Manager to join us for an initial 9-month maternity-cover contract to ensure our brands are represented in a prestigious and consistent manner. This pivotal role, within a fast-paced marketing department, will attract a confident self-starter, who has proven ability to take standards to the next level. With Designer label licenses and house brands to engage and inspire, this is an exciting position, which will see you take the lead in the planning and execution of all aspects of marketing and communications, while directing design and making a valuable contribution to the business as a whole. Reporting to the Managing Directors, this position is wide ranging, challenging and diverse. Planning, implementing and analysing the activity of internal and external stakeholders you will be a brand custodian who can demonstrate ROI and profitability, excellent time-management, organisational and project management skills, and will be a natural verbal and written communicator. You will be comfortable multi-tasking / prioritising and will naturally take initiative. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): * Responsibility for all marketing channels and activity, in accordance with the marketing plan and budget; * Managing design and production of marketing materials, including catalogues, price lists, POS, merchandising stands, sales support documents, direct mailings, etc.; * Organising and attending events, including exhibitions and open days (in the UK and possibly overseas); * Conceptualising and organising photo and video shoots; * Copywriting / proofreading of content, including product descriptions, media releases, website, email marketing campaigns, award entries and other communications tools. Ensure that the brand tone of voice is consistent, and the copy is both innovative and inspiring; * Overseeing communications activity: PR relationships, product placement, social media and press content, e-blasts, advertising, website updates, image requests, etc.; * Working closely with the Export department, generating content and supporting activity of key global distribution partners; * Reporting promotional results, website activity and social media engagement; * Undertaking competitor analysis; * Overseeing design activity: product packshot photography, image retouching, marketing asset artworking, print processes, etc.; * Driving e-communications activity and managing customer and supplier databases, in line with relevant legislation; * Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant functions are kept informed of marketing objectives and activities; * Provide ad hoc support to product and customer service teams in peak periods (answering phones, etc.); * Support with managing the activity of the marketing team as a whole. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Candidates should have strong affinity with fashion, luxury and lifestyle markets. * Marketing degree or other relevant qualifications; * Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with considerable and relevant marketing experience, preferably for a consumer brand; * Strong commercial acumen to maximise performance; * Proven project management skills, showcasing organised and skilled management across multiple work streams; * An open and creative thinker, keeping abreast of and utilising new retailing developments, innovations and technology; * A strong and diplomatic team player, able to work across multiple departments with differing objectives, whilst championing and delivering best practice; * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to impart detailed information in a clear and straightforward manner across a range of audiences and stakeholders; * Detail orientated with a good photographic eye; * Ambitious, curious and poised. Comfortable using unconventional ideas to achieve extraordinary results. * Organised, determined, resilient and able to stay positive under pressure; * Works well autonomously and collaboratively. Able to gain trust, respect and confidence quickly and effectively. Previous team-management experience is preferable; * High level of computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email and internet; * Experience of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) would be highly beneficial.
