Job Description

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a clinical fellow in Gastroenterology (ST3 + level). The post will involve management of gastroenterology/hepatology inpatients and outpatient clinics. Training and supervision in endoscopy will be provided at a level suitable to the successful candidate. There will be an opportunity to undertake independent endoscopy for suitably qualified candidates. There will be opportunities for specialty specific training, audit and research. The post would be well suited to candidates who have completed core medical training and are planning to apply for higher specialist training in gastroenterology in the future. The department provides sub-specialty expertise across a range of disciplines within gastroenterology (IBD, nutrition, hepatology, advanced endoscopy), and the job plan can be modified to reflect the training needs and interests of the successful candidate. The historic cathedral city of Exeter is situated in the middle of the South West Region with easy access to the countryside and coast of Devon and Cornwall.
