Job Description

Senior Clinical Pharmacist - CMHT (Community Mental Health Team) Band 7 Full time 37.5hrs / week We have been given a unique opportunity to continue to build a community Mental Health pharmacy team. The main aims of the work is reduce hospital admissions through effective treatment, to improve patient and carer satisfaction with information about medicines and to reduce the inappropriate use of medicines and the amount of medicines waste. Pharmacists will be expected to lead drug treatment changes and, where qualified, to prescribe independently. The pharmacy team will be based within the CMHTs, be supported by a senior pharmacist and be overseen by the deputy director of pharmacy. Individual pharmacists and the pharmacy team will be supported in publishing the results of their interventions. This is a really exciting opportunity for pharmacists to develop a variety of skills and the clinical knowledge necessary for their career development. About the location: Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2). We also provide services and operate across other locations, such as London boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; and substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Lambeth, Greenwich and Wandsworth. The Bethlem Royal Hospital is located in Beckenham, Kent and is served by Eden park train station as well as a bus journey away from East Croydon Station.
