We are not the new kid on the block, we were established in 2013 and some of our key achievements since then include: * Raised 90m investment from large institutions. * Acquired over 360,000 wayleaves across Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Private Landlords. * Deployed our full fibre infrastructure to over 100,000 premises. So far we're proud of our achievements and we are are doing a great job disrupting the broadband industry but we are definitely not stopping here. Job purpose: We are continuing to grow rapidly and to support the next stage of our growth we need a Civils Manager to lead the installations of our fibre optic network. The Civils Managers duty is to oversee street works related activities, to ensure our engineering compile with CFL's engineering guidelines, New Roads and Street Works Act, QHSE requirements as well as the Local Authority/Highway Authorities conditions. The task objectives are to support the project manager in ensuring project milestones are completed on time, within budget and to the standards and quality set by the business or our clients. Additionally, ensure CFL project teams (inclusive of our contract partners) successfully complete all supporting project deliverables. These include, but not limited to: CPP, RAMS, Business Cases, as-builts, wayleave documents. Ensure the effective and fair management of contractor deliverables in accordance with our Master Services Agreement What you'll be doing: * Manage the quality of the installations of distribution project sites whether internally or externally with contractor. * Engagement with Local- and Highway- Authorities as it relates to our programme of works. Monitor of street works permits, negotiate early starts (as required), monitor FPN's and ensure the timely resolution of defects. * Supervising contractor installation teams, ensuring that any project-specific quality or technical standards are well understood by the CF and Contractor teams. * Assist Project Manager in key tasks associated to client sites including; performance managing contractor resource, reporting and site handover documentation. * Verifying at relevant project stages ('sign-off') that these standards have been achieved (or triggering remedial action required) * Ensure that CF H&S requirements are always being adhered to * Act as an escalation point for the project teams, peer CFL business units, CFL clients; and as necessary escalate these to senior management within CFL. The experience we're looking for you to bring: * Understanding of FTTP, Openreach network and Civils delivery * Thorough working knowledge of a fibre network build through significant job experience and training on site * Experience of managing teams and effectively managing performance * Experience and Qualification within street works. Understanding of the New Roads & Streetworks Act * Experience of working on the Openreach Network - desirable * Demonstrate the ability to talk the 'same language' as Civils and cabling contractors * Demonstrable experience of working with/for telecommunications operators or service partners. * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
