We have an exciting opportunity within Mental Health UK, where you will join our friendly and inspiring team as a Business Development Manager based at Albert Embankment. Your role will be a fixed term until 31st December 2021 position working full time, 37.5 hours per week. At a time when people with poor mental health across the UK are facing greater uncertainty than ever before, Mental Health UK is seeking to grow and expand to be there for people who need support the most. This exciting new role is critical to ensuring that our growth through donations and grants matches our four founding charities needs. As Business Development Manager you will be pivotal to understanding their aims and objectives, and matching these with our Corporate Partnerships and Grants teams to new funding opportunities. When we are successful in generating more income, your role will be critical in embedding new programmes and funding into delivery. Our young people's resilience programme Bloom, funded by Lloyds Banking Group and Clic, a new online peer to peer support service are just two examples of where we have matched the needs of people all across the UK with amazing funding partners who often go above and beyond in their support to us. As part of a small core team you will manage a team who will support you in providing excellent service to individuals and organisations we work with and be a part of a much needed movement to protect and improve the mental health of millions across the UK. What will you be doing? As the Business Development Manager you will oversee a team who strives to ensure Mental Health UK delivers excellent, evidence based solutions for both our founding charities and for our partners. You will work closely with our founding charities to understand and aggregate their needs so that we can pitch perfectly to partners. You will also: * Work with the Corporate Partnerships and Trusts + Grants Team to aggregate and package the needs into fundable programmes of work and partnership propositions. Typically these are £500k upwards. * Engage with the Corporate Partnerships and Trusts + Grants Team to research and understand what funding organisations are looking to achieve and how we might meet this through our applications * When we are successful with new programmes of work, I lead the work to embed it across the four charities * On occasion, lead new programmes for a period of time until necessary infrastructure and due diligence is in place, including Clic Do you have what we are looking for? * Experience in delivering multifaceted projects of different sizes end to end * PRINCE 2 or equivalent qualified * Ability to present to partners and prospective partners both to secure funding and to gain their confidence in our delivery * Experience of managing and working with multiple partners to design and implement sizeable programmes * Ability to assimilate large quantities of data and information from a range of sources and highlight to senior management any risks, issues, and recommend where opportunities should be capitalised What will you receive?
