Cell Culture Testing Senior Technician

The job: The Senior Technician will be working within the cell culture testing laboratory and be responsible for the day to day running of the team. You will also be required to troubleshoot, train and supervise technicians working in the cell culture testing lab. Prepare and test diagnostic products, reagents and intermediates using SOPs and documentation ensuring they meet performance specifications and GMP standards. Key technical product knowledge will include cell culture techniques. What will you do? * Ensure day to day testing demands are met, on time and in full (OTIF) through effective delivery of the team release schedule * Be responsible for initial troubleshooting of out of specification test results * Be responsible for the quality of output, completed documentation and ensure quality standards are maintained * Ensure accurate documentation of deviations in line with the Quality Management System * Comply with all SAP transactions on work performed and be responsible for controlling inventory * Train and mentor new staff in cell culture techniques, Health & Safety and GMP * Deputise for Manager when required Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilities * Educated to A level or above and proven experience in cell culture techniques * Demonstrable experience of being a good team player with the ability to motivate and support delivery of the team * Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills About us: As the world leader in serving science, our work is more than something that fills our days.
