" Bringhurst Primary Academy is now recruiting for a Teaching Assistant This role could be the ideal next step in your career. About our Academy Bringhurst Primary School is a happy, friendly school bordering Great Easton in rural Leicestershire. We have places for up to 182 pupils aged 4 to 11 years. We have seven age appropriate classes which are successfully managed by our very experienced teachers, and all of our classes are supported by an excellent team of Learning Support Assistants. Rated by Ofsted as Good here at Bringhurst we pride ourselves on our educational performance and our positive, nurturing environment where we encourage every child to build confidence and achieve their best. About the role To work with individual children having special or particular needs, in accordance with the child's statement as directed by the teacher. 15 hours per week, fixed term position- 1 year Salary & Benefits NJC 3 Access to Local Government Pension Scheme An excellent provision for your professional development and Leadership Development programme Who we are looking for Empathy for children with special needs Patience, understanding, caring, sense of humour Experience of working with children/young people Recent experience of working in a school. A standard of written and spoken English that supports pupils' learning. Experience of relevant age group. Experience of working with children with special needs. Responsible for behaviour management to children requiring additional support TA specific qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 2 or 3. A commitment to promoting equal opportunities and meeting individual needs. Awareness of confidentiality. Ability to work as part of a team. Able to manage time effectively. Ability to be flexible to the needs of the children. Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
