Job Description

*** This post attracts a recruitment and retention fee of 1536 per annum *** We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Team Manager with a genuine interest in working within the Health and Justice directorate to lead and manage the mental health service at HMP Manchester. As the successful candidate you will bring to the role a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience of confidently leading others in the delivery of high quality mental health care. You will have experience and skills in supporting teams through change and promote team members' involvement in contributing to service development by actively seeking their contribution to service development forums. You will work closely with and be supported by the Operational and Service Managers in your role and also in the development of your own personal improvement goals. You will be expected to pro-actively support the day to day operational delivery of this service, including the effective management of the service caseload in collaboration with the MDT. Day to day, you will be responsible for ensuring the service delivers high quality care that aligns to the practice standards described within trust policies and also the recognized evidence base underpinning mental health services. As part of your role, you will be required to develop and maintain positive relationships with wider agencies and partners outside of GMMH, where necessary this will include representing the service at trust-wide and external meetings. The post holder will be supported with the security checking procedure (Counter Terrorism Clearance) to enable them to work in a High Secure Environment.
