Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Designated Senior Charge Nurse position in a 40 Bedded Acute Receiving Unit within the Royal Hospital for Children. This ward sees a variety of patients' medical/surgical/Trauma/Burns and other speciality patient groups. The ward delivers an RSV pathway in the winter and has commenced looking after High flow patients. You will provide Clinical Leadership and Team Working; provide Evidence Based Clinically Effective Practice, with continuous Quality Improvement focused on Patient Safety. As clinical leader you will promote teamwork within a multi-professional environment, demonstrating critical analysis and decision making skills, leading the delivery of a clinically excellent, high quality service influencing and facilitating change within ward/department and where appropriate the organisation, ensure visibility for patients and carers/relatives on a daily basis. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Childrens Nurse with the NMC and that you have substantial post registration experience at a Band 6 level. The shift pattern for this post is Days, Nights and Weekends.
