Do you want to work in a role where you can support people to rebuild their lives? About the role We are currently looking for Caseworkers to join the Tenancy Sustainment team (TST) on fixed term contracts (with possibility of extensions) until 31 March 2021. We have1 Part time role (18 hours per week) in North London, and further full time roles (37.5 hours per week) in North and West London. The TST team works with people across London who have experienced homelessness and sleeping rough; and who have now moved into Rough Sleepers Initiative (RSI) accommodation. The team provides floating support to enable clients in RSI accommodation to transition into; and maintain tenancies to avoid a return to homelessness. In the Caseworker role you will manage a case load of clients, working closely with them to agree on-going client centred support planning objectives. Working in clients own homes and in the community you will provide advice and core support to help clients sustain their housing and build a home, access health care for physical and/or mental health conditions, work and training opportunities, offering encouragement to access support services and be active within their community. All vacancies will work 9 am - 5 pm, Mon - Fri and require travel across London. What we're looking for These rewarding roles will suit people with: * Experience of helping vulnerable people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change. * Some understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerable people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services. * The ability to work independently and manage your own time, (working alone at times) * Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide consistently high levels of support to our clients.
